FID – Chapter 459

Chapter 459: Are You Out of Your Mind?

Liu Erlin was a little drunk. He was wobbling, so in Liu Zhiqiu’s fear that he would trip on the road, he carried him on his back and carried him home. Du Juan walked beside him, nagging nonstop.

Liu Zhiqiu listened, but didn’t feel annoyed. If his mother stopped nagging, she’d probably feel uncomfortable from holding it in.

When a woman reached her age, this problem was inevitable. It wasn’t a disease.

When they got home, Liu Zhiqiu found that the door was partly open. His eyes flashed at once.

Aunt Hong had not yet returned, helping the village women to clean up the table and stools. They were the first to return.

He went out but closed the door. All the villagers were in the square, so there was only one left who could have entered their home door this time.

So Liu Zhiqiu was not surprised when he entered and saw a figure sitting in the dark yard.

On the contrary, Du Juan freaked out: “Oh my God! There’s a ghost!”

Liu Erlin jumped off his son’s back and dragged his wife behind him. His mind was still wandering around without knowing where north or east was: “What ghost! What ghost!”

Liu Zhiqiu helped his wobbly father and said, “Father, Mother, it’s Kang Ziyu.”

”Miss Kang?” Du Juan poked her head out from behind, patting her still-thumping heart with her mouth shivering.

Squatting here at night as mute as a statue, deliberately frightening people. Something was wrong with her!

Only then did the person sitting there make a sound. “Liu Zhiqiu, send me back to the county.”

A family of three were speechless.

This rich Missy, she simply could render everyone speechless!

”Mother, help father and have rest first.” Liu Zhiqiu ignored the woman sitting there and arranged for his parents to go back to their room.

The house was soon lit up. The dim light from the hall barely illuminated the area.

Liu Zhiqiu then walked back and questioned, “What is wrong with you? Why didn’t you stay somewhere else instead of my yard to scare people?”

”You’re the one with the problem!” If she hadn’t known only one family in the village, would she have been willing to come?

She didn’t want to stay in the countryside at all!

Today, she had also gone out of her mind to come here and talk nonsense to him. Instead of feeling better, she felt worse.

”There is no one to see you off tonight. If you want to leave, you can go by yourself. If not, you can stay with Aunt Hong for the night. There will be an ox cart going to town in the morning, and you can take a ride.” She was so spoiled that she thought everyone was her servant.

She was bossing him around without even considering where she was.

After speaking, Liu Zhiqiu went back to his room to have a rest. After a tiring day, he didn’t have the energy to play tricks with this rich Missy.

In his opinion, she was making a fuss about nothing.

There was no more yelling outside. He didn’t know whether Kang Ziyu had waited for Aunt Hong’s return.

He was very sleepy, and slumbered deeply.

When he got up the next day and saw Kang Ziyu again in the courtyard, he was really frightened.

The hell with this person. She was really out of her mind.

She didn’t leave, nor slept with Aunt Hong. She actually sat in the courtyard until dawn!

There was mist all over her head, and her hair was wet. She really could do it!

On a spring day, Wei Hong also got up early and sat at the door of the kitchen chopping wood.

Liu Zhiqiu bypassed the woman sitting there like a log and approached Wei Hong. “Aunt Hong, didn’t you call her last night?”

”I did, but she ignored me, so I went to sleep by myself.” Calling once was polite. Did she want her to invite her twice? She wasn’t the maid to entertain VIPs.

”…” Aunt Hong is really amazing.

After washing up, Liu Zhiqiu waited and drove the carriage out before his mother got up to prepare breakfast. “Get up. I’ll take you back to the county.”

If he didn’t bother to see her out, she might just outlast the heaven and earth sitting in their yard.

Kang Ziyu sat still for a while. It was still spring, and it was freezing cold at night. She refused to squeeze a bed with someone else and sat down all night. If Wei Hong hadn’t thrown her a blanket, she would have frozen to death.

This family were all freaks. She had never seen such treatment of guests.

She was also the county magistrate’s daughter!

Knowing that she was sitting there and not moving out of the way, no one actually paid attention to her.

”Are you going to leave?” Liu Zhiqiu sat at the front of the carriage, but after waiting for a long time, no one came, so he impatiently yelled.

”… I can’t move.” Her legs were frozen.

”…” Liu Zhiqiu wiped his face. “Aunt Hong, carry her out.”

Aunt Hong stood up and clapped her hands. In Kang Ziyu’s horrified eyes, she lifted her up, really carrying her.

”Let me go, let go! Your hands are dirty!” Kang Ziyu struggled. She saw it. There was wood ash on her hands! And sawdust!

Wei Hong turned a deaf ear to the woman’s struggle and tossed her into the carriage, and then went to continue her work in the yard.

What a pampered Miss High and Mighty! Don’t ever come here in the future. You’re unwelcomed.

You think the countryside is poor and dirty, so why did you come here?

Liu Zhiqiu didn’t directly take the route to the county. He first drove to the town, and as he was hungry because he didn’t have breakfast, he first went to buy some food.

He shouldn’t starve and wrong himself.

With a horse-drawn carriage, it would take just over a moment to get to town.

He chose a beef noodle stall on the street that smelled particularly fragrant, and then stopped to eat noodles.

”Boss, have a bowl of beef noodles. Add enough ingredients and add more soup!”

”Two bowls!” Kang Ziyu immediately drew the curtain and added an order, and then disembarked from the carriage.

She knew that Liu Zhiqiu would definitely not take care of her, so she ordered it herself.

She’d been starving since yesterday. Even if she was reserved, she couldn’t hold on anymore.

In the past, she wouldn’t even spare such stalls a glance, let alone sit down to eat.

Liu Zhiqiu also ignored her. Once his bowl of noodles was served, he directly slurped his meal. He really wasn’t planning to address her.

If it were someone else, he wouldn’t be so. But Kang Ziyu was different.

Once you speak to her, she might turn the other way around and say that the food was dirty.

He wanted to live as he wished. He avoided people who would always make him unhappy.

  He absolutely wouldn’t make contact.

The business of this stall was passable. The noodles were chewy; the ingredients were enough. With the sprinkle of some scallions on the noodles, the aroma immediately dissipated with the hot steam in the bowl and stirred one’s appetite.

Liu Zhiqiu kept puffing and blowing, looking well-satisfied.

Kang Ziyu was starving so she couldn’t care less about being picky. When the noodles reached her mouth, she thought they tasted good. It was very different from her imagination. Maybe it was because she was too hungry. She felt that anything in front of her eyes was delicious.

Anyway, this kind of grade in her eyes was definitely not as good as those in famous restaurants.

The carriage set off again. When passing the front of the Li Mansion, Kang Ziyu glanced in that direction through the window, inevitably thinking of that person again.

Finally gritted her teeth and ruthlessly suppressed the idea of going in to explore.

Everything had already reached this point. There was nothing to explore. Li Junyue had explicitly stated that she was using her. She wasn’t a fool to go up there again.

But Liu Zhiqiu said last night that the big family fights…

”Liu Zhiqiu.” She inched closer to the carriage door and spoke through the curtain.

  ”Say.”

”If you’re not having a good time at home, what would you say to get out of that predicament?”

”How would I know, ah!” He was having a good time at home, and no one could ever drive him away. He hadn’t experienced other people’s situations, so how would he know what to do?

Kang Ziyu seemed to have expected that he’d give her any good answers. Instead, it was as if she was talking to herself, “Do you think it would be better if you marry someone and leave that home?”
