Similar conversations appeared in Chen Gangyu’s Weibo feed.
After that thrilling journey in Indonesia, Chen Gangyu had fallen under Su Jishi’s personal charm and was completely reduced to her older fan girl.
Girls chasing idols were scary! Chen Gangyu posted on Weibo, but that wasn’t enough. She posted three in a row, and each with a length of one hundred and forty words. It could be summed up as follows: “Su Jin awesome! I respect Su Jin! Su Jin sy all over! I lick-lick-lick-lick-lick-lick-lick…”
Meanwhile, the other two artists on the show also reposted their thanks. Fans and bystanders who watched this unfold were curious. Was Su Jin’s charm really so great that she could make the four artists she worked with all rave about her?

With such a high level of attention, in mid-January, the variety show Wilderness Winner was finally launched before the Chinese New Year.
The variety show was an outdoor variety show jointly launched by Apple Channel and Discovery Asia, drawing on the experience of similar shows and bringing in five artists to play around Asia.
Unfortunately, nobody had expected that they would run into a natural disaster, a volcanic eruption and a tsunami from the onset of the recording. The slightest carelessness would have killed them. When everyone finally returned home with great difficulty, the chief producer, chief director, plus the deputy director of the program, was immediately interviewed by the relevant leaders of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television(SARFT).
Because the program was far more dangerous than expected, the variety show license that was so easily obtained was almost withdrawn. Needless to say, in order to keep the program, the TV station had to face all kinds of hardships. Fortunately, there was a ‘nobleman’ who helped save the program and let the show air on the screen and meet the audience on the scheduled release date.
As for who this ‘nobleman’ was…
…Su Jishi saw through it and didn’t say anything about it.
Wilderness Winner was chosen to air on Friday night in prime time, taking over an old talent variety show.
On the opening night of the first episode, Su Jishi specially invited her agency team to her home and waited in front of the TV for the show to be aired.
This was the first and possibly the last time in her life to participate in a reality show shooting. You know, this kind of outdoor reality show was very different from that kind of indoor variety show. Indoor variety shows had tableaus, and outdoor reality shows could be called a demon-revealing mirror to some extent.
There had been unpopular 18-line artists who filled in the vacancies and garnered fans from more than 100,000 to a whopping tens of millions through reality shows; there were also A-list stars who exposed their nature in front of the camera, playing big cards and losing their temper, resulting in a large number of fans turning anti-fans…
Su Jishi was curious to know what kind of ‘Su Jin’ the audience would see through this demon-revealing mirror.
Would they like the Su Jin she played?
Xiao Xia had been fidgeting, sitting around the house in circles. Ashan was sitting on the sofa eating a lot of snacks, but Fang Xie was the most relaxed one among them.
Xiao Xia asked, “Brother Fang, why are you not nervous at all?”
Fang Xie didn’t keep her in suspense and told her, “In fact, the station organized an internal viewing meeting a few days ago. The feedback of all the staff who have watched the episode is very positive. Guess, what do you think is the estimated audience rating of Apple station?”
Xiao Xia’s eyes lit up: “0.8? No, 1.0%!!!”
1.0% didn’t seem high, but in today’s world where there were more and more TV channels and network variety shows were blossoming, this number was already quite impressive. You know, Apple Channel’s 20-year old family entertainment variety show could only guarantee an average rating of 1.3% per episode!
A 1.0% rating was enough for it to compete with other stations’ prime-time programs in the same slot.
Unexpectedly, Fang Xie shook his head and announced a shocking figure: “No —— the internal forecast for it is 1.5%!”
“God, so high!!!”
“Believe in Sister Su, she deserves such high ratings.”
Under everyone’s eager anticipation, Wilderness Winner, a variety show with an extremely tortuous birth process, finally started at 8 p.m. sharp.
Along with the intense, heart-pounding background music, a sharp claw tore through the screen to reveal the CG effects-produced logo of the show.
The trip to Indonesia was split into three episodes, and today’s episode was the first. The first half of the show was rather mundane, with the audience being introduced to the artists and the two instructors. After each artist appeared on stage, various labels were tagged on the artists in later stages.
When Su Jishi walked out of the airport, she was covered with several pink labels, including Topic Queen, Popular Traffic Celebrity, National First Love, etc., which were both general and stereotypical.
The episode was quite boring. Xiao Xia took time to look at the tablet, and as expected, whether it was Su Jin’s personal Chaohua((an organised hashtag)) or the show’s Chaohua, viewers were lining up to say “The plot is mediocre and boring”.
Some even mocked the crew as trailer cheats, cutting all the exciting shots into the trailer, while the main content was so boring they could fall asleep.
Some also asked if Su Jin’s money had all been thrown into the trailer, so that the trailer was full of her scenes, and then she had no sense of existence in the first half of the main content?
For these provocative comments, Su Jishi merely glanced at them and spared not the tiniest bit of attention. She directly snapped the tablet upside down and twisted Xiao Xia’s head toward the TV: “…Don’t control the comments, watch quietly.”
Xiao Xia could only temporarily put aside her anxiety and quietly continued to watch.
Fortunately, the plot soon entered the jungle, and the various contrasting conflicts in the show gradually escalated.
Little by little, Su Jin’s important role in the program finally came to the fore.
When passing through a steep slope, Su Jin took the lead in the forefront to check the road.
When there was a need to pick wild fruits to quench thirst and hunger, Su Jin threw down her backpack and scampered up to the top of the tree with a few steps.
When there was a need to stop and rest, Su Jin once again carried out a few simple steps to finish lighting up a bonfire. She then killed fish and roasted them, poker faced.
